Mrs. Chambers' final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill I, B-21, Space 2. Funeral services for Viola Tabor Chambers, age 96 of Gaithersburg, Maryland and formerly of Habersham County will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tommy Stowe will officiate with interment to follow the service in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Chambers passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Born on November 28, 1918 in Jackson County, Georgia, Mrs. Chambers was the daughter of the late John and Melie Bell Tabor. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband William Talley Chambers, and siblings Loutrell Butler, Jeanette Carter, Carrie Barden, Buck Tabor, James Tabor, and Frank Tabor. Survivors include her children Joe Chambers (Rhonda), Thomas Chambers (Sharon), Jerry Chambers (Priscilla), Kenneth Chambers, William Terry Chambers (Sharon), and Brenda Donaldson (Forrest), siblings Florine Taylor and Allen Tabor, 13 grandchildren, 15, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
