William Bruce Dean

Mr. Dean's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill I, G-16, Space 1. William Bruce "Bill" Dean, age 79, of Gainesville, GA went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Mr. Dean was born on August 20, 1939 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Bruce and Martha Francis Dean. He was preceded in death by, in addition to his parent, by his first wife, Nancy Stewart Dean, son Jonathan Daniel Dean, and sister, Martha Loretta Dean. Mr. Dean was employed in the textile industry. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville. Some of Mr. Dean's memberships include: Boy Scouts of America, The History Center, Gainesville, GA, WWII Roundtable, Atlanta, GA, and the Jaycees.. Survivors include daughter, Jennifer Dean, Punta Gorda, Florida,; sons, Michael Dean, Athens, GA and Patrick Dean,Gainesville, GA; sister, Mary Francis Dean Vest, Richmond, Virginia; very special companion and caregiver, Terry Dean, Gainesville, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Fields officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northeast Georgia Counsel of the Boy Scouts of America, PO Box 399, Jefferson, GA 30549.
