Mr. Leagan's final place of rest is located at Garden of Honor, G-12, Sp 4. William Henry Leagan, age 67, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Mr. Leagan was born on January 27, 1949 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William and Ida Landon Keith Leagan; brother, David Leagan. Mr. Leagan had a Masters Degree in Business. Bill loved our Lord and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cornelia where he was a dedicated member in serving the Men's Tuesday Morning Crew, and a member of the Men's Prayer Breakfast. Mr. Leagan was a retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant Veteran with 27 years of service and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for outstanding service. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother-in-law, Uncle, Great-Uncle and Friend to everyone. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Natalie Leagan, of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Tricia and Gregg Daniels, of Garner, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Da'Naque Leagan, of Land O' Lakes, FL; brother, Richard Leagan, of Pineville, NC; grandchildren, Alexus, Nathan, Nicholas, Madisyn, Ashton; sister and brother-in-law, Shelley and Barry Lewis; niece, Krystle Wayne and husband, John; nephew, Steven Lewis; great-nephew, Logan Wayne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Rose Marie Sharp. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Cornelia with Dr. Eric Spivey and Rev. David Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
