Mrs. Wilson's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill III, A-11, Space 1. Zella Trotter Wilson, age 101, of Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2016, following an extended illness. Mrs. Wilson was born on June 2, 1915, in Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia, to the late Willie and Mollie Trotter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Wilson; son, Earnest Wilson; and granddaughter, Angela Marie Wilson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Zella was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Carolyn and Maxwell Wilson, Pickens, SC; Mollie Ann and Douglas Soule, Spring Hill, TN; and Linda and Lewis McClure, Gainesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Wilson, Cumming, GA; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Phil Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Saturday, November 5, 2016 and from 1-2:15 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habersham Home West, P.O.
