About Our Cemetery

Learn About the Sections of Yonah Memorial Gardens

Yonah Memorial Gardens is conveniently located on Historic Hwy 441 just south of Downtown Demorest and Piedmont College as well as minutes away from Cornelia. We are also adjacent to and on the same campus as Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel.

Section: Yonah

A bronze memorial park section and the original section of our cemetery, Yonah sits on the edge of US HWY 441 and serves as the most visible section in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Being the oldest section in the cemetery, Yonah has tremendous history with spaces still available.

Section: Sunset Hill

The Sunset Hills is one of the oldest sections in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Divided into four subsections, Sunset Hills has a beautiful statue of Jesus Christ overlooking Sunset Hill.

Section: Garden of Remembrance

Garden of Remembrance is one of the oldest sections of Yonah Memorial. This bronze memorial park section is located in the center of the cemetery, with easy access to all subsections. The Garden of Remembrance also houses the original mausoleum.

Section: Garden of Honor

The United States Flag as well as each Branch of the Armed Forces is at the top of Garden of Honor. This section is devoted to the men and women who have proudly served our nation in a branch of the armed forces.

Section: Garden of Devotion

Located directly below Garden of Honor, the Garden of Devotion serves as a beautiful section with an open view for loved ones burials.

Section: Mount Calvary

The newest addition to Yonah Memorial Gardens, Mount Calvary is the only section in the cemetery to have upright granite memorials.

Section: Garden of Prayer

The Garden of Prayer is for Entombments and Inurnments. Offering single and double crypts for caskets as well as single niches in a large mausoleum, the only of it's kind in Habersham County.
